Yangsan City English Library to Launch English Reading Parent Education Program

Yangsan City English Library in Gyeongnam will operate the English reading parent education program "Practical Use of Mom's English Picture Books" every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., starting September 12.

This program, which will be held a total of 12 times until December 5, is designed for 20 parents with preschool or lower-grade elementary school children. It will take place at the City English Library, aiming to support the creation of an English reading environment at home with their children and to strengthen parents' reading guidance skills.

In particular, high interest from parents is expected, as this is a practical program that helps families naturally and enjoyably experience English at home through English picture books.

The program is structured so that parents can practice reading actual English picture books with their children and expand this into daily reading habits. The main focus is on methods of English reading guidance that can be immediately applied in everyday life.

Participation can be applied for through the Yangsan City English Library website starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 22. Participants who attend at least 60% of the sessions (a minimum of 8 out of 12) will receive two English picture books, selected from those used during the program, as a gift.
