On August 19, Busan Institute (President Shin Hyunseok) signed its first wage agreement with the Busan Institute branch of the National Public Research Labor Union, which is part of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' Public Transport Workers' Union, at its headquarters.

원본보기 아이콘Both labor and management held 15 rounds of working-level negotiations since April before reaching a final agreement.
President Shin Hyunseok stated, "This agreement is an achievement based on communication and consideration," adding, "We will contribute to improving employee welfare based on mutual trust."
Branch Chief Kwon Taesang also expressed, "I am grateful for the understanding of the workers' difficulties and for the sincere approach to negotiations," and added, "I will strive to ensure that working at Busan Institute becomes a source of pride."
With this agreement, Busan Institute plans to establish a desirable labor-management relationship and focus on policy research for the benefit of citizens.
