On August 19, Lee Hwanju, President of KB Kookmin Bank, participated in the "Youth Gambling Eradication Challenge."
This challenge is a pan-societal campaign that began in March under the supervision of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Its goal is to raise public awareness and highlight the need for prevention so that young people are not exposed to the dangers of illegal gambling. Participants take a verification photo containing the campaign message and nominate the next person in a relay format.
President Lee joined the challenge after being nominated by Hwang Younggi, Chairman of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. He verified his participation with a photo featuring the slogan, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting youth is a scam crime that you can never win."
He nominated Cho Yongbyung, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Banks, and Jung Mooncheol, President of KB Life Insurance, as the next participants.
President Lee stated, "The issue of youth gambling is not an individual problem, but an important task that our entire society must pay attention to and solve together," adding, "KB Kookmin Bank will continue to support young people so they can grow up healthy with the right values."
