Korail: "Track Workers Struck by Mugunghwa Train in Cheongdo, North Gyeongsang"

An accident occurred near the Gyeongbu Line's regular railway tracks adjacent to the Cheongdo Bullfighting Stadium in Cheongdo County, North Gyeongsang Province, where workers inspecting the tracks were struck by a Mugunghwa train.

According to Korail, at around 10:50 a.m. on the 19th, Mugunghwa Train No. 1903 (departed from Dongdaegu at 10:24 a.m., scheduled to arrive in Jinju at 12:36 p.m.), which was heading from Dongdaegu Station to Jinju, collided with workers who were checking the safety of a slope damaged by flood. Korail stated, "Currently, some train operations are delayed."

The accident site was a section where both upbound and downbound trains alternately operated on the upbound track.
