Fasoo Expands ARM Support for Data Security Solutions

Fasoo is taking an industry-leading step by expanding ARM support for its data security solutions. This strategy is designed to proactively respond to the rising demand for ARM, which is being driven by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

On August 19, Fasoo announced that, by supporting Windows OS on ARM architecture, it aims to expand its customer base to new sectors such as finance-including insurance companies-retail, and healthcare, where ARM devices are widely used.

ARM-based CPUs are known for their low power consumption and high efficiency, making them the preferred choice for ultra-lightweight devices such as tablets, 2-in-1s, and convertible PCs. They are especially popular in industries like finance (including insurance and asset management), large-scale distribution and retail, and healthcare.

One drawback has been that, due to architectural differences from Intel and AMD, there are still relatively few security solutions that support ARM. With Fasoo’s main data security solution suite now supporting ARM Windows OS, enterprises and institutions can securely protect their data on any device, regardless of convenience or efficiency considerations.

As ARM continues to expand its influence in fast-growing markets like Copilot+ PCs-AI PCs that have recently gained popularity-as well as in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and SoC (System-on-Chip) sectors, Fasoo also expects to benefit from early market entry.

Fasoo’s data security solution, Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED), is now launching ARM support. As Fasoo’s flagship solution, FED is a hyper-DRM that provides thorough protection and unified policy management for documents, whether stored locally or in the cloud. It applies continuous encryption across the entire file lifecycle, from creation to disposal. Depending on assigned permissions, it can restrict viewing, editing, and printing, while tracking and managing all activities. It also offers integrated management of cloud security and third-party DRM policies, enabling consistent and unified security management across both local and cloud environments.

Fasoo’s screen security solution, Fasoo Smart Screen (FSS), and its web security solution, Fasoo Secure Web (FSW), also support ARM-based devices. Fasoo plans to gradually expand ARM support to its other data security and management solutions as well.

Kyunggu Yoon, CTO of Fasoo, explained, "We have seen a growing number of customer inquiries about ARM support, and we expect ARM’s market influence to increase in the future, which is why we have started developing ARM compatibility." He added, "Fasoo continues to lead the industry by developing support for CAD applications, Mac OS, multi-cloud environments, and now ARM, so that customers can securely protect and manage any data, in any environment."
