Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) held a meeting with relevant agencies on August 13 in the conference room of the Gamcheon Office to review current security issues at Gamcheon Port.
This meeting was organized to focus on inspecting security issues related to new port facilities, such as the West Breakwater mooring facility, which opened in April this year, and the expansion area of Pier 3, which is scheduled to open in the second half of the year. It is held regularly with relevant agencies to establish a prompt response system in case of emergencies.
Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, emphasized, "Gamcheon Port is a national security facility with more than 10,000 vessels passing through annually, so ongoing security management is of utmost importance. We will continue to strengthen the system to prevent any security gaps on site."
Through this meeting, BPA plans to further solidify its cooperation system with related agencies and proactively strengthen port security in anticipation of the opening of new facilities.
