Training on Summer Management of Bee Colonies and Varroa Mite Control
Practical Safety Guidelines for Beekeepers at the Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center

The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center will hold a training session for approximately 100 local beekeepers on August 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the main auditorium on the second floor of the center. The topics will include "Summer Management of Bee Colonies and Varroa Mite Control" and "Safety Management in Agricultural Work."

This training has been organized to help beekeepers maintain healthy colonies in the hot and humid summer environment and to efficiently control varroa mites, which are major pests that cause reduced productivity and colony losses among honeybees.

The main subjects covered will be summer management of bee colonies, varroa mite control, and guidelines for safety management in agricultural work.

No prior registration is required for the training. Beekeepers who wish to participate can simply come to the main auditorium on the second floor of the Agricultural Technology Center by 1:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We hope that this training will help beekeepers effectively respond to climate changes and pest damage during the summer," adding, "We will provide practical management methods that can be applied immediately on site."
