Earlier this month in England, Kim was in second place by one stroke through the third round of the AIG Women’s Open, and even tied for the lead on the final day, but ultimately finished the tournament tied for fourth. She said, "The pain became a strong motivator," and pledged, "If I get another opportunity like that, I won’t let it slip away."
Starting with her victory at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open, A-rim Kim has achieved three career wins on the LPGA Tour. She will meet domestic fans for the first time in about two years through this tournament, which is title-sponsored by her sponsor, Mediheal. She revealed her secret to adapting to the U.S. tour, saying, "Personally, I feel I’m growing every year," and added, "If I get stronger, I’ll be able to control the ball better rather than just hitting it farther, so I need to work hard on weight training."
