Kang Juyeop, Head of the Happy Agency, Inspects Prevention of Serious Industrial and Public Accidents in Sejong City

The Administrative City Construction Agency (Happy Agency) announced on August 12 that it had conducted an inspection of compliance with statutory obligations to prevent serious accidents.

On the afternoon of the same day, Kang Juyeop, Administrator of the Happy Agency, presided over a meeting at the Government Sejong Complex to review and evaluate compliance with obligations under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, with the goal of achieving "zero serious accidents."

This meeting was held to proactively prevent serious industrial accidents involving Happy Agency employees, as well as serious public accidents affecting citizens who use public facilities managed by the agency.

During the meeting, participants checked whether obligations in each area-such as the establishment of safety and health management systems, identification of hazards and risks, and implementation of improvement measures-were being carried out as planned. The Happy Agency stated that, according to the inspection results, "all items have been implemented without any issues so far."

Kang Juyeop emphasized, "As the risk of disasters is increasing due to recent climate change, including frequent localized heavy rains, we must not overlook even the smallest warning signs. All members should work together to ensure safety," and urged, "Each department should focus on creating a safe working environment and on regularly inspecting and improving facilities."
