Hong Wonjun, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NCSoft, stated during the second quarter earnings conference call on August 12, "Starting with 'Aion 2,' which is scheduled for release in Korea and Taiwan in the fourth quarter, we plan to launch seven new titles next year." He added, "We will release a variety of new games, including 'Breakers,' 'Timetakers,' 'LLL,' and four spin-off titles, ensuring that releases are evenly distributed throughout the year rather than concentrated in specific quarters."
'Breakers' is planned for release in the first quarter of next year, 'Timetakers' in the second quarter, and 'LLL' by the third quarter at the latest. The four spin-off games will be introduced on a quarterly basis.
He went on to say, "If revenue from new titles is added to the stable regional expansion of our legacy IPs, we are confident that we can easily achieve next year's projected revenue of 2 trillion to 2.5 trillion won, as Co-CEO Park Byungmoo announced during the last earnings call." Next year, Lineage M and Lineage 2M are planned to launch in China, while Lineage W is set to enter the Southeast Asian market.
To secure new growth engines, the company is also actively pursuing business in the mobile casual sector. CFO Hong explained, "Securing mobile casual games is a key strategy for expanding into the global market. We are continuously seeking investment and M&A opportunities, and we plan to further advance these games by integrating our proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) technology."
