The installation art exhibition 'Objet of Blue' will be held at Hayan Gallery (Director Lee Seolje) located in the Culture Street of Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, from August 8 to August 19, 2025.

This exhibition has been organized with the support of Suncheon City and the Suncheon Cultural Foundation, and will feature works that reinterpret installation art from the perspectives of various artists.

The participating artists include both local artists and leading figures in the field of installation art in Korea. They will present a wide range of works that traverse two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and spatial forms.

'Objet' is a French word meaning object, thing, or subject. In art, it is used as a method of deconstructing established visual and conceptual frameworks by giving artistic interpretation to everyday objects.

This concept is particularly prominent in Surrealism and contemporary installation art, where objets, removed from their original context, acquire new narratives and symbolism according to the artist's perspective.

An official from the exhibition stated, "This exhibition is significant as it is the first full-scale installation art exhibition attempted in Suncheon, and will serve as an opportunity to expand the scope of local culture and arts." The official also emphasized, "It is meaningful in strengthening Suncheon's identity as a city of culture and arts where ecology and art coexist."
