Jindo Bobae Jinmi Rice Wins First Top Quality Brand Rice Award in Jeonnam

Jindo Bobae Jinmi Rice, the flagship rice brand of Jindo County in Jeonnam, has been selected for the first time as one of the "Top 10 High-Quality Brand Rice in Jeonnam," signaling a positive outlook for the region's agricultural competitiveness.

On August 6, Jindo County announced that Bobae Jinmi Rice had been chosen as one of the "2025 Top 10 High-Quality Brand Rice in Jeonnam" at an award ceremony held on July 30 at Wangin Hall in the Jeonnam Provincial Government building. With this, Jindo County has achieved its first-ever award in this category.

The award ceremony was attended by Kim Yungrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, who personally presented the plaque to the head of Seonjin Nonghyup. Officials from the Agricultural Support and R&D Divisions of Jindo County, Seonjin Nonghyup, and the Jindo County branch of Nonghyup also attended to celebrate the achievement together.

As a result of this award, Seonjin Nonghyup will receive an incentive project fund of 10 million won from Jeollanam-do. This budget will be used to enhance the quality of Bobae Jinmi Rice and to improve packaging, thereby strengthening the brand's competitiveness.

Kim Heesu, Governor of Jindo County, stated, "This award once again proves the excellence of Jindo rice," and added, "We will continue to pursue high-quality strategies and systematic marketing to secure stable sales channels and increase farmers' incomes."

Meanwhile, Jindo County plans to continue its strategic support to ensure repeated selection as one of the "Top 10 High-Quality Brand Rice in Jeonnam" through ongoing quality management and efforts to build consumer trust.
