The Global Symbiosis Humanities and Social Convergence Talent Development Project Group (HUSS) at Honam University announced on August 6 that it recently conducted the "Global Korean Language and Korean Culture Education Field Experience Program Connecting the World" in Turkey.

This program, held from July 19 to 25, was designed to cultivate experts in Korean language and Korean culture education who are needed in the global era. The focus was on strengthening students' career planning and global symbiosis capabilities through practical overseas field experience, going beyond theory-based domestic education.

Fourteen Honam University students, accompanied by two professors and staff members, visited Ankara University and Bogazici University in Turkey together with Yeungnam University, where they actively engaged in exchange activities with local university students.

The participating students observed an "Open Speaking Contest" for Turkish university students, enhancing their teaching skills and directly experiencing the language education field. In addition, through special lectures by local university faculty and Turkish language classes, they broadened their understanding of multiculturalism and developed regional academic competencies.

Through this field experience program, the students gained a deeper understanding of the relevance to their majors, increased their awareness of the international community, and created opportunities to grow as global talents.

Meanwhile, since June of last year, Honam University HUSS has received a total of 9 billion KRW in funding over 33 months and is collaborating with five universities, including Kwangwoon University, Kookmin University, Sun Moon University, and Yeungnam University, to nurture 2,500 key convergence talents equipped with sustainable resource responsiveness, industrial literacy, and international inclusiveness to contribute to the field of global symbiosis.
