In the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on the 3rd (local time), he earned 3.44 points, jumping 23 spots from 44th place last week. He secured these ranking points by claiming his first-ever victory at the Wyndham Championship (total prize money $8.2 million), the final event of the PGA Tour regular season, held at Sedgefield Country Club (par 70, 7,131 yards) in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.

The winner's prize was $1,476,000 (approximately 2.05 billion KRW). Seven runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour without a win was the most by any player since 1983.
Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, and Russell Henley (all USA) maintained their positions in the top five. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae ranked 30th, An Byeonghun 60th, Kim Siwoo 70th, and Kim Joohyung 74th.
