Daegu to Reach 35 Degrees During the Day

On Tuesday, the 5th, most regions across the country are expected to experience showers, while the heatwave is forecast to continue.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 4th, tomorrow's weather nationwide is expected to be mostly cloudy. The southern coast of Jeollanam-do, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island will see occasional rain until dawn, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island will have intermittent rain until daytime.
Showers are also expected from morning to night in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the inland areas of the Chungcheong region, and the southern regions.
The cumulative precipitation forecast for the two days of the 4th and 5th is 10 to 60 mm for the Gyeongsang region and mountainous areas of Jeju, 5 to 40 mm for the southern coast of Jeollanam-do, 5 to 30 mm for Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, and 5 to 20 mm for Jeju Island excluding mountainous areas. Daegu and Gyeongbuk are forecast to receive more than 80 mm of rain.
The expected precipitation from showers is 5 to 40 mm for the Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions, and 5 to 30 mm for the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon and the inland areas of the Chungcheong region.
Morning lows will range from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will range from 30 to 36 degrees Celsius, which is similar to or slightly higher than average for this time of year. In Seoul, the low will be 27 degrees and the high will reach 33 degrees. In Incheon, temperatures are expected to range from 26 to 30 degrees, and in Suwon from 25 to 32 degrees.
Other expected temperature ranges include: Daejeon 25 to 33 degrees, Sejong 24 to 33 degrees, Gwangju 26 to 33 degrees, Daegu 26 to 35 degrees, Busan 27 to 33 degrees, Ulsan 26 to 34 degrees, Changwon 26 to 34 degrees, Jeju 28 to 33 degrees, Chuncheon 24 to 33 degrees, and Gangneung 25 to 32 degrees.
After the rain and showers subside or stop, temperatures will rise during the day, and the maximum perceived temperature will reach around 33 degrees, continuing the heat. In some areas of northern Gyeonggi, the coastal regions of Jeollanam-do, and the Gyeongsang region, the perceived temperature may approach 35 degrees. Tropical nights are also expected in many areas.
Fine dust levels are expected to remain at a 'good' level nationwide, due to active atmospheric dispersion and the effects of precipitation.
Wave heights in the sea will range from 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea.
In offshore waters (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
For the time being, strong swells are expected to flow into the southern coast and the coast of Jeju Island, with high waves possibly overtopping rocks, breakwaters, and coastal roads. Caution is advised for safety.
