On August 1, Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will operate a one-night, two-day "Ato Healing Camp" for families with children aged 3 to 8.
This camp consists of nature-friendly and creative programs, including environmental disease prevention education, forest experiences, healthy cooking, and recycling-based creative activities.
The main activities include: ▲ family forest experience ▲ cooking for immunity enhancement ▲ making clocks from empty liquor bottles ▲ creating chestnut decorations using glass pieces, among others.
The city has operated the camp a total of four times this year and plans to hold four additional sessions.
Those interested can apply through the Gongju Environmental Health Center website.
Jeon Byungyun, head of the Recreation Park Division, said, "The Ato Healing Camp is a meaningful program that helps restore children's health and facilitates communication within families," adding, "We will continue to expand various experiential programs that enhance awareness of health and the environment."
