The contest theme is open, as long as the content promotes the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo or Taehwagang National Garden. This includes experience-based content, introductions to hidden attractions, and other related topics.

Anyone nationwide is eligible to participate. Entries must be submitted via email between September 16 and September 30.

The city will conduct a review of the submissions in October and select a total of nine winning works: one Grand Prize (5 million KRW), two Excellence Prizes (2.5 million KRW each), three Merit Prizes (1.5 million KRW each), and three Encouragement Prizes (500,000 KRW each).

The results will be announced in early November on the Ulsan City website.

A city official stated, "We hope to receive a wide variety of entries filled with creative and original stories that will help widely promote the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo."

The "2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo" is an international event accredited by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH). It will be held for six months from April to October 2028 at Taehwagang National Garden and the Samsan-Yeocheon Landfill area.

In particular, the city plans to transform the long-neglected Samsan-Yeocheon Landfill into an ecological garden, promoting Ulsan's rebirth from an industrial city into an ecological garden city to the world.
