"Live Commerce Sales Triple: CJ Olive Young to Greatly Expand 'Olyoung Live' Programming"

91% Increase in Viewership in the First Half Compared to Last Year
Significant Impact on Sales, Over 500 Broadcasts Planned for Next Year

On August 1, CJ Olive Young announced plans to significantly expand the "Partner Live" programming on its mobile live commerce platform, "Olyoung Live," which was first introduced last year. The company plans to increase the number of Partner Live broadcasts from 11 last year to 105 this year, and to more than 500 next year.


Partner Live is a live commerce program that allows brands featured on Olive Young to independently plan and broadcast using the Olyoung Live format. At the innovative "Olive YoungN Seongsu" store, a "Connect Studio" equipped with cameras, lighting, and other facilities has been set up and is provided free of charge to partner brands.

Partner Live has proven to be highly effective in boosting sales. During the Olyoung Sale in June, the emerging dermo brand "Fation," which participated in Partner Live, achieved sales about 200% higher than its target. The skincare brand Cell Fusion C recorded sales reaching 160% of its target. In the first half of this year, the average number of Olyoung Live viewers increased by 91% compared to the same period last year.


In addition, Olive Young has introduced the "Funding Promotion" program, which is open exclusively to emerging and indie brands that have joined the platform within the past year. Since its launch in May, new brands such as Purcell, Deansi, Mobning, and Pondly have participated in joint broadcasts, attracting 220,000 viewers and achieving sales nearly three times higher than the target.


Going forward, Olive Young plans to strengthen the function of live commerce as a platform for introducing new products and emerging brands. The company will revamp its new product introduction program, "New Product Ticketing," into "New Product Radio" starting this month, enhancing communication by sharing behind-the-scenes stories related to new product development.


An Olive Young representative stated, "Olyoung Live, which has demonstrated its effectiveness in boosting sales, is being used as a valuable marketing tool for emerging K-beauty brands that need more exposure to consumers." The representative added, "We will continue to introduce various formats and services that enable co-growth with new brands."
