Booyoung Group announced on July 24 that it has donated 500 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to help residents in areas such as Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province and Gapyeong in Gyeonggi Province, who have been affected by heavy rainfall.
The entire donation will be used for recovery efforts, including repairing flooded homes and damaged crops, as well as supporting displaced residents. Lee Joonggeun, Chairman of Booyoung Group, said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who have lost their homes and are facing difficulties due to the unexpected heavy rains," adding, "I hope this contribution will provide some help for the swift recovery of daily life for the affected residents."
Booyoung Group has consistently provided donations and apartment support whenever disasters or calamities have occurred. The company donated funds for earthquake relief in Pohang in 2017, as well as for wildfire damage in the Gangwon region and along the East Coast in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Booyoung Group also provided its apartments to help stabilize housing for displaced residents.
In March of this year, the company also donated 500 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to support rapid recovery at major wildfire sites and to assist affected local residents. To date, Booyoung Group's total contributions to society have exceeded 1.2 trillion won.
