On July 22, Hyundai Card announced that it has partnered with Apple and Tmoney to launch the 'Apple Pay Transit Card' service.
Hyundai Card members can add Tmoney to Apple Wallet and load funds using their Hyundai Card registered with Apple Pay to use the transit card feature. This means that any member can now use public transportation with their iPhone or Apple Watch.
To do so, users simply need to tap the add button in the Apple Wallet application, select Tmoney from the transit card menu, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
When Hyundai Card members add Tmoney to Apple Wallet, they can easily and conveniently recharge their balance at any time using their Hyundai Card registered with Apple Pay, or set up the auto-recharge feature if their balance runs low.
With the auto-recharge feature, Hyundai Card members can travel or commute without worrying about insufficient transit card balance.
Since launching Apple Pay services in March 2023, Hyundai Card has continued to expand the number of merchants that accept Apple Pay.
The company explained that it decided to launch this service after determining that the foundation was in place for members to use Apple Pay in a variety of ways, including at online and offline stores as well as for in-app payments.
