Chairman Kang Seokjin of Jungjingong Seeks Growth Solutions for Promising SMEs in Northern Gyeonggi Province

The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (Jungjingong) announced on July 10 that it had held an on-site communication meeting, the "Visiting Jungjingong" event, at Shinsung C&S, located in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, to support promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their transition to mid-sized companies.


The meeting was attended by Kang Seokjin, Chairman of Jungjingong; Lee Seongdo, CEO of Shinsung C&S; Park Jongrae, CEO of POSCOM; Han Youngdon, CEO of Hanul Herbal Medicine; Jung Myungsoo, CEO of Hanmi Yanghaeng; Kim Hyunsik, CEO of GFS; and about 10 other CEOs of promising SMEs based in northern Gyeonggi Province.

The main agenda included: guidance on Jungjingong's support programs such as the Jump-Up Program; discussions on support measures for growth into mid-sized companies; discussions on easing overlapping regulations such as military facility protection zones and metropolitan area restrictions; guidance on supporting the smart transformation of manufacturing processes; and gathering opinions to improve the business environment for SMEs in northern Gyeonggi Province.


The key suggestions raised by participating companies included expanding policy loan support to boost SME investment, strengthening export support programs to enhance export competitiveness, and supporting the stabilization of foreign workforce employment. Jungjingong plans to actively support related projects in areas such as finance, exports, and human resources by reflecting the suggestions collected during the meeting.


Chairman Kang stated, "It was a meaningful time to discuss and seek solutions to the challenges faced by promising SMEs preparing to become mid-sized companies," and added, "Jungjingong will continue to work closely with the government and related organizations to provide unwavering support for the growth of promising SMEs."
