DB Securities announced on July 8 that it has recently invested in equity in 'Bravo Beaver Paju,' a standard workplace for people with disabilities.

According to the company, Bravo Beaver is an equity investment-type standard workplace for people with disabilities, established with the aim of creating jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities by receiving equity investments from private companies. It produces confectionery, stationery, and nuts, and is operated with the support of the social enterprise Bear Better and the sponsorship of the Brian Impact Foundation.

DB Securities invested in a 16% stake (158.4 million won) in Bravo Beaver Paju, and a number of employees with developmental disabilities corresponding to this shareholding ratio will be employed and work at the facility. Additionally, as a measure to support the ongoing operation of Bravo Beaver, the company plans to purchase products produced at the Bravo Beaver workplace every month.

Kwak Bongseok, CEO of DB Securities, stated, "The purchased goods will be used for employee welfare, customer gifts, and donations to social organizations. We hope that this equity investment will serve as an opportunity to create more jobs for people with developmental disabilities. The company will actively practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, including support activities for socially vulnerable groups."
