On July 7, Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea (President Hwang Younggi), an organization specializing in child welfare, announced that it will launch the nationwide participation campaign "Green Umbrella Green Leader Club" to promote the spread of mid- and high-value giving in Korea, with the goal of creating "a world where children are happy."

The "Green Umbrella Green Leader Club" is a group of mid- and high-value donors established by Green Umbrella in July 2022. As of June 2025, the club has approximately 9,700 members, including individuals and corporations from a wide range of age groups, from age 1 to 97, regardless of generation.

Green Umbrella planned this campaign to foster a culture in which more people naturally participate in giving in their daily lives, based on changing social perceptions of mid- and high-value donations.

The core message of the "Green Umbrella Green Leader Club" campaign is "Everyone has the power to lead change in the world." Green Umbrella focused the campaign on encouraging participation from all citizens, regardless of generation, under the shared belief that everyone possesses the "green power" to help children.

This campaign is themed around connecting turning points in the lives of individual donors with the future of children. Through the campaign video, Green Umbrella emphasized that moments of donor growth, such as "becoming a parent" or "getting a promotion," are opportunities to practice giving, and that donations are more than financial acts?they are choices that brighten the future of children. Hyun Lee, a Green Umbrella ambassador and top model and broadcaster, participated in the campaign as a talent donor.

The "Green Umbrella Green Leader Club" campaign is open to everyone through the official Green Umbrella website.

Green Umbrella plans to use the donations collected through this campaign to strengthen its core initiatives, including support for talent development, support for children from migrant backgrounds, and support for children who care for family members.

In addition, Green Umbrella will provide tailored support services for each donor and share various updates about the culture of giving, so that donors can feel they are contributing to positive change in the world, along with news about how children’s lives are improving through their support.

Hyun Lee, Green Umbrella ambassador, said, "I deeply resonate with the campaign’s message that the green power I possess can become the future of children, and I am delighted to participate. I hope many people will take an interest in and join the campaign."

Hwang Younggi, President of Green Umbrella, said, "Green Umbrella’s mid- and high-value donors play a pivotal role among our supporters, going beyond simple donations to become 'agents of change' who realize children’s happiness. Green Umbrella will do its utmost to broaden the base of giving in Korea, including mid- and high-value donations, so that making a donation once a year becomes a natural part of our culture for everyone."
