원본보기 아이콘Siwoo Kim, who has four career PGA Tour victories, has played in 22 tournaments this year, finishing in the top 10 twice. His best results this season were tied for 8th at the RBC Heritage in April and at the PGA Championship, a major, in May. His FedExCup ranking is expected to jump from 45th last week to 40th.
Kim started the day tied for 21st, six shots behind the leader, and carded six birdies without a single bogey. He picked up two strokes on the front nine with birdies at holes 5 and 7, then added back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11, followed by two more birdies at holes 14 and 17 on the back nine. He posted a greens in regulation rate of 77.78% and averaged 1.57 putts per green in regulation, both standout statistics.
Brian Campbell (USA) shot four under par to finish tied with Emiliano Grillo (Argentina) at 18-under-par 266, then secured the win with a par on the first playoff hole (the par-4 18th) when play resumed. This marks his second career victory, his first since the Mexico Open in February, and he earned a winner's check of $1,512,000 (about 2.06 billion KRW). Grillo, who was aiming for his third career win and his first since the Charles Schwab Challenge in May 2023, had to settle for runner-up after his tee shot found the rough.
