This event secured a budget of 140 million won by being selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Specialized Market First Step Foundation Project” contest. Compared to last year, the festival will feature a wider variety of programs, the participation of foreign supporters, and the addition of a vision proclamation ceremony.

The festival will begin at 5 p.m. on July 4 with the Vision Proclamation Ceremony and continue until 10 p.m. for two days. A range of programs will be available for merchants and residents to enjoy together, including “Happiness for 10,000 Won” (affordable food), social networking service (SNS) certification events, and small concerts. The introduction of Onnuri gift certificate payments will also enhance convenience for visitors.

The alley-style shopping district near Seonyudo Station is home to long-standing Nopo establishments that have served local residents for decades, creating a unique atmosphere and culture. Through this festival, the district aims to foster a new consumption culture centered on young people, revitalize the local economy, and provide a venue for communication across generations and social groups.

Choi Hogwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “This event will allow merchants and residents to come together, revive the charm of the alleys, and inject new energy into the stagnant local economy. We will continue to support the alley commercial district so that it can grow into a specialized area representing our region.”
