Cathay Pacific explained that these achievements are the result of its ongoing efforts to strengthen differentiated, customer-centric services. In particular, its latest cabin products and content strategy, which simultaneously provide comfort and immersive inflight experiences for long-haul travelers, received high praise.
With the introduction of next-generation aircraft, Cathay Pacific is progressively equipping its Boeing 777-300ER fleet with the latest cabins, including the "Aria Suite" business class, new premium economy class, and upgraded economy class. These seats are currently available on routes between Hong Kong and London, Sydney, and Vancouver.
For inflight dining, the airline collaborates with Michelin-starred chefs to offer French cuisine from Louise and Cantonese menus from Duddell's in first and business class. In premium economy and economy class, authentic Chinese cuisine developed in partnership with Yat Tung Heen is served.
Ronald Lam, CEO of Cathay Pacific, said, "It is very meaningful to be selected as one of the world's top three airlines, moving up two ranks from last year, and to receive the highest evaluations in both economy class and inflight entertainment categories. We will continue to strive to become the world's leading premium airline, delivering experiences beyond expectations."
Skytrax, the organizer of the event, is an institution that evaluates the quality and excellence of airlines and airports worldwide, presenting awards in related categories every year. The Skytrax World Airline Awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," are based on customer satisfaction, with more than 325 airlines making the final shortlist.
Meanwhile, starting in August, Cathay Pacific will provide 100% inflight Wi-Fi and seatback entertainment systems across all aircraft and all seats. The award-winning inflight entertainment system has achieved recognition at numerous design awards for its intuitive interface and customer-centric design. Based on the largest content library in the Asia-Pacific region, new content is updated every month. Passengers can enjoy Paramount+, Disney+, original content, K-dramas, music, games, podcasts, and more in 4K and 4K HDR10 quality for the first time ever onboard.
On the ground, airport lounge upgrades are underway. The airline recently completed a full renovation and reopened "The Bridge" business class lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, and plans to sequentially open new flagship lounges in Hong Kong, Beijing, and New York in the future.
