US President Donald Trump plans to send letters outlining tariff terms to major trading partners within the next one to two weeks, ahead of the July 9 (local time) deadline for the reimposition of high tariffs, Bloomberg News reported on the 11th.

Before attending the musical "Les Mis?rables" at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, Trump told reporters, "Within the next week and a half to two weeks, I will send letters to each country specifying the conditions," making this statement.

He added, "At some point, I will simply send the letters. The message will be: these are the conditions, and you can choose whether to accept them or not."

On the same day at the venue, when asked whether he was willing to extend the trade negotiation deadline, he said, "It's possible," but added, "I don't think it will be necessary."

Currently, the Trump team is pursuing bilateral trade agreements with 15 countries, including India, Japan, South Korea, and the European Union (EU). Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, stated that the EU would be the last in line due to the negotiation difficulties arising from the interests of its 27 member states.
