The seminar, which took place over about a month from May 9 to June 5, featured 11 experts in the field of construction and real estate disputes as speakers. They discussed not only the overall theory and practice of construction and real estate disputes, but also the latest trends and response strategies in each specialized area. In particular, the sessions addressed a variety of case-based topics that received strong responses from participants, including the cancellation and termination of pre-sale contracts due to the downturn in the construction market, disputes over price fluctuations, disputes over additional construction costs, and, more recently, the issue of floor impact noise in multi-family housing, which has emerged as a social concern.

In the first session, lawyer Yoon Jaeyoon, who is recognized as an expert in construction and real estate disputes and has served as the Chair of the Central Land Expropriation Committee and President of the Korean Construction Law Association, provided a detailed explanation of essential points to know in construction litigation practice. Lawyer Kim Younggeun, well known as an insolvency specialist, covered "Construction Disputes and Insolvency," introducing major insolvency-related issues that have recently become problematic at construction sites, such as the impact of insolvency proceedings on construction contracts and issues related to real estate trusts and insolvency, focusing on concrete cases.

In the second session, lawyer Park Jaehyun and lawyer Cho Soohyeong gave separate presentations on recent trends in price fluctuation disputes and practical responses to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. In the third session, lawyer Nam Youngsoo and lawyer Cho Youngwoo addressed trends in disputes related to the cancellation and termination of pre-sale contracts, as well as the obligation of completion guarantees. The fourth session featured presentations by lawyer Kim Jaehwang and lawyer Shin Nari on real estate trusts and public auctions, as well as practical aspects of construction appraisals. In the final session, lawyer Yeo Jina spoke on "Disputes over Additional Construction Costs and Securing Construction Payment Claims," while lawyer Ahn Heonjun presented on "Floor Impact Noise in Multi-Family Housing."

Lee Seungsu, who leads the Shin & Kim Construction and Real Estate Dispute Group, stated, "In response to the increasingly complex and diverse patterns of disputes in line with recent developments in the construction market, Shin & Kim has been proactively identifying and resolving key issues by holding this program annually." He added, "We will continue to make every effort to provide practical and effective solutions to the various disputes that may arise in the construction and real estate sector, based on close communication with our clients."
