Hankook Tire & Technology announced on June 4 that the sixth round of the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC), organized by the F?d?ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and for which the company is the exclusive supplier of racing tires, will be held on June 5 (local time) in the area around Olbia in the northeast of Sardinia, Italy.
The Sardinia Rally unfolds against the beautiful backdrop of the Mediterranean, but among participating drivers, it is considered one of the most challenging rallies due to its narrow and rough surfaces and the extremely hot weather conditions.
Over four days, drivers will compete in racing across 16 special stages, covering a total distance of approximately 320 kilometers. The course features narrow and fast stages densely lined with trees and rocks, as well as unpaved sections made up of gravel and rough sand, making it an ideal environment to comprehensively test the durability and grip of racing tires.
Despite early summer temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, drivers will deliver extreme performance with top speeds of 200 km/h and engine revolutions reaching up to 8,500 rpm, making outstanding heat resistance and wear resistance essential qualities for the tires.
Hankook Tire is supporting the event with its extreme all-terrain rally tire, the Dynapro R213, which excels at absorbing impacts on unpaved surfaces. With exceptional grip, precise handling, and superior wear resistance, it ensures stable performance in harsh off-road conditions.
A Hankook Tire representative stated, "At the fifth round, the Portugal Rally, which was the most demanding off-road rally in the WRC calendar, we proved our top-level motorsport competitiveness with overwhelming off-road performance. We expect to continue this strong performance in the upcoming event as well."
