Fire at Cheonan Auto Parts Factory... Damages Estimated at 1.28 Billion Won

According to the Chungnam Fire Headquarters on June 1, a report was received at 10:38 p.m. the previous day that a fire had started on the second floor of the factory. The fire authorities issued Response Level 1, mobilizing all fire stations in the jurisdiction, and completely extinguished the fire at 2:16 a.m. on this day, 3 hours and 38 minutes after the initial report.

The fire damaged 2,000 square meters of the second floor and 16 pieces of equipment in the three-story factory building, resulting in property damage estimated at 1.28 billion won by the fire department. There were no casualties. The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
