People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo announced that he would provide a childbirth support fund of 100 million won per child, distributed in installments at each stage of entering elementary, middle, and high school.

On the 29th, during his campaign stops in Incheon, Siheung, Ansan, and Gunpo, Kim stated, "I plan to distribute money to you," and added, "If you have a child, I will give you 100 million won."

Kim explained, "If we simply give 100 million won in cash, some parents might spend it irresponsibly," and continued, "I intend to provide a portion immediately after childbirth, 25 million won when entering elementary school, 25 million won when entering middle school, and 50 million won when entering high school, dividing the total of 100 million won in this way."

He also made remarks targeting Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung's livelihood support fund policy. Kim criticized, "Foolish people think that if you give 250,000 won to someone just sitting at home, it's free money. But it's not free?it's your tax money."

Kim also emphasized his position regarding the ongoing discussions on amending the law in relation to recent Public Official Election Act rulings. He condemned, "It is outrageous when a thief turns the tables, seizes the police baton, beats the police, impeaches prosecutors and judges, and creates a world ruled by thieves."

Meanwhile, with early voting beginning on this day, the unification of the People Power Party with Lee Junseok, the Reform New Party presidential candidate, has effectively fallen through. Early voting will continue until the following day (the 30th), and the 21st presidential election is scheduled to conclude with the main vote on June 3.
