It recognizes innovative and outstanding projects across a variety of categories, including architecture and development, interior design, and real estate. More than 40 countries, including those in Asia-Pacific and Europe, participate in the event. Experts from various real estate fields comprehensively judge entries based on innovation, originality, and sustainability to determine the winners.
Lotte World Tower and Mall received top awards in two Development categories: "Masterplan" and "Sustainable Commercial Development."
The newly established Masterplan category this year evaluates factors such as development location, site suitability, and design innovation. Lotte World Tower and Mall was selected as an award-winning project in recognition of its achievements in overcoming the challenges of super high-rise construction and its strengths as an integrated complex that includes office, residential, lodging, retail, and cultural facilities. The Sustainable Commercial Development category evaluates suitability in the field of eco-friendliness. Lotte World Tower and Mall was recognized for its high utilization rate of renewable energy and its ongoing efforts to improve the water quality of Seokchon Lake, leading to its selection as an award-winning project.
With this award, Lotte World Tower and Mall has been nominated for the next round at the Asia-Pacific regional awards ceremony. It will compete against global development projects such as Hangzhou Ping An Finance Center and Indonesia's CitraLand. The regional awards ceremony will be held in London, United Kingdom, this winter. If Lotte World Tower and Mall wins at the regional level, it will be nominated for the final round at the global awards ceremony.
Jang Jaehun, CEO of Lotte Property Development, stated, "It is highly meaningful that Lotte Property Development's expertise and capabilities have been recognized at such a prestigious real estate awards ceremony," adding, "We will continue our efforts to grow as a global real estate specialist company in the future."
