[Photo] KOSPI Opens Higher Following U.S. Stock Market Gains

On May 28, as the U.S. stock market closed higher following the EU's announcement of a tariff suspension, the domestic KOSPI also opened higher. The status board at the main branch of Hana Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul displays figures for the KOSPI and the won/dollar exchange rate. As of 9:30 a.m. on this day, the KOSPI was up more than 1.17% at 2,668.84, while the won/dollar exchange rate had risen by 0.30 won to 1,369.80 won.
