원본보기 아이콘In the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on May 25 (local time), Yoo received 0.1247 points and soared 416 spots from 1,194th place last week. He earned points by finishing third at the 67th Kolon Korean Open (total prize money 1.4 billion won), the national title event held last week at the La Vie Est Belle Golf & Resort Dunes Course (par 71) in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. This is his best personal result since finishing third at the Hazzys Golf KPGA Open in August 2020. He took home 75 million won in prize money.
There were no changes at the top of the rankings. Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas (all USA) maintained their positions in the top five. Ben Griffin (USA), winner of the PGA Tour Charles Schwab Challenge, climbed 28 spots to rank 24th.
Among Korean players, Im Sungjae is ranked 21st, An Byeonghun 44th, Kim Joo-hyung 45th, Kim Siwoo 59th, and Kim Sunghyun 115th. Kolon Korean Open champion Sadom Kaewkanjana (Thailand) jumped from 329th last week to 228th.
