Hyundai E&C Wins 1.5 Trillion Won Gaepo Jugong Complex 6 and 7 Reconstruction Project

Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced on May 26 that it has won the bid for the reconstruction and maintenance project of Gaepo Jugong Complex 6 and 7 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The project involves building apartment complexes and other facilities on a site of 116,682 square meters, with 21 buildings ranging from five basement levels to 35 above-ground floors, totaling 2,698 units. The total construction cost is 1.5138 trillion won.

Previously, at the general meeting for contractor selection held by the association, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, as the preferred negotiation partner, was the sole bidder and was finally selected through a vote by association members. The company proposed "The H Le Vert" as the new apartment complex name, combining the French definite article "Le" and "Vert," meaning green vitality.

For the first time among apartments in the Gaepo district, the complex will be directly connected to the subway. A moving walkway will be installed to link Daemosan Entrance Station with the complex. The design is being handled by the American architectural group SMDP. According to the company, among the Gaepo reconstruction complexes, this project will offer the largest usable space, including balconies, terraces, and exclusive residential areas.

The resident common facilities will be the largest in the Gaepo district, centered around amenities highly preferred by residents, such as a sky lounge at a maximum height of 115 meters, a cafe, and a sauna. Preparations for operation will be made in advance so that residents can use these facilities immediately upon moving in.

The company stated that this contract has solidified its position in the Gangnam area reconstruction market. It also aims to win upcoming bids for the Apgujeong District 2 and Seongsu District 1 maintenance projects. Previously, the company secured contracts for Complexes 1, 3, and 8 in the Gaepo district.
