Kyungpook National University Alumni Association Donates 29.53 Million Won for Gyeongbuk Wildfire Relief: "Comfort and Support for Victims"

The Kyungpook National University Alumni Association (President Choo Gyogwan) announced on May 23 that it had donated 29,530,000 won to the Gyeongbuk Red Cross to support victims of the Gyeongbuk wildfire.


The donation, delivered on May 20, will be used by the Gyeongbuk Red Cross to support victims and aid recovery efforts in areas of Gyeongbuk affected by large-scale wildfires.

President Choo Gyogwan stated, "We decided to make this donation together with alumni members to comfort and encourage the residents affected by the wildfire," adding, "I hope that, including this donation, support from all over the country will reach those who have suffered from the disaster."


Governor Lee Cheolwoo said, "The empathy and solidarity shown by the community, treating the pain of others as our own, is the driving force that helps us overcome crises," and expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who conveyed their sincere condolences and support.


Lee Miyeon, secretary general of the Gyeongbuk Red Cross, stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the members of the Kyungpook National University Alumni Association for their warm generosity," and added, "The Red Cross will also do its utmost to ensure that the affected residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible through continued support."
