Zigbang Launches AI Lobby Phone 'Alpha' with Facial Recognition

On May 21, real estate platform Zigbang announced the launch of its new artificial intelligence (AI) lobby phone (entrance intercom) 'Alpha (ZH-L70)', which operates through facial recognition.

Alpha is Zigbang's second product, following the AI door lock 'Haven', which was introduced in January. The device allows residents to open and close shared entrance doors using only facial recognition, without the need to enter a password or use a card tag. Alpha enhances security by removing the numeric keypad for password entry, adopting an AI-based biometric authentication system, and introducing integration with a dedicated smartphone application.

In addition to facial recognition, residents can also enter using a mobile key tag through the 'Zigbang Smart Home App'. The app provides visitor management features, such as remote door opening and video calls. It is also possible to issue a QR pass or a temporary password by specifying the entry period or time for visitors.

With the launch of Alpha, Zigbang Smart Home has begun a full-scale entry into the B2B (business-to-business) smart home market. On May 14, the company completed the first installation of the AI lobby phone Alpha at the Beodeulchi Maeul Gyeongnam Honorsville 2nd Apartment Complex in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

Additionally, Zigbang is developing an 'AI Security Office' capable of providing 24-hour support. In situations where no staff are present in the security office or management office, the AI system can respond to residents or visitors via voice. All conversations and entry records are automatically saved in the system, allowing complex managers to monitor them in real time.
