Hamyang County Conducts Simulation Training for Recovery Plan Establishment in Preparation for Natural Disasters

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 21st that it had conducted a simulation training for establishing recovery plans through the National Disaster Management Information System in the event of natural disasters during the summer, at the Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room.

This training was designed to ensure prompt recovery from damages in the event of a disaster by assuming damage scenarios by sector and type, such as public and private facilities, and proceeding step by step with system input for damage reporting and recovery plan establishment.

The county focused on increasing the understanding of the system among employees who use it infrequently and providing an opportunity for them to become familiar with its operation through this training.

Kim Byungsoon, Director of Safety Management, said, "I would like to thank the public officials in charge for their efforts in preparing for natural disasters, and we will strive to minimize damage this summer through active preparedness and response."
