Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, and Han Ducksoo, an independent preliminary candidate, held a meeting on May 7 at a restaurant in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to discuss the unification of their candidacies. As the meeting ended without any agreement, Kim's camp proposed an additional meeting for the following day, and Han responded positively to the suggestion.
