Disney+ to Broadcast Live Coverage of Conclave Opening

Disney+ announced on May 7 that it will broadcast live coverage of the opening of the Conclave, the secret meeting of cardinals to elect the new Catholic Pope. The broadcast is scheduled to take place from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the following day, with English subtitles provided.

This Conclave, which will elect the 267th Pope, will be attended by 133 cardinal electors from seventy countries around the world. Voting will continue in the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican until a candidate receives the support of at least eighty-nine electors, which is more than two-thirds of the electoral body.
