The Gwangju Branch of the Korean War Veterans Widows Association recently donated 3.85 million won to help with the recovery efforts for the wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region. Provided by the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office
원본보기 아이콘The Gwangju and Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross announced on May 7 that the Gwangju Branch of the Korean War Veterans Widows Association recently donated 3.85 million won to help with the recovery efforts for the wildfire damage in the Yeongnam region.
This donation was raised through the voluntary contributions of members from the Gwangju Branch of the Korean War Veterans Widows Association, as well as members from five other branches in Gwangju.
Kim Orye, head of the Gwangju Branch of the Korean War Veterans Widows Association, said, "As bereaved families of fallen veterans, we can especially empathize with those suffering from loss, and we hope this small gesture provides comfort and support to the disaster victims who are going through a difficult time."
