Labor Party Expected to Win Australian General Election... Majority Still Uncertain

On May 3 (local time), Australian broadcasters reported that the Labor Party, led by incumbent Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, is expected to defeat the conservative opposition Liberal-National coalition in the Australian general election.

Prime Minister Albanese, who came to power in the 2022 general election, is projected to secure a second term.

However, it remains uncertain whether the Labor Party will secure a majority of the 150 seats in the House of Representatives on its own.
