Korea GM Sells 41,644 Vehicles Globally in April... Down 6% Year-on-Year

Korea GM announced on May 2 that it sold 41,644 vehicles in the global market in April, down 6.4% compared to the same period last year.

Korea GM's overseas sales in April totaled 40,318 units, a 4% decrease year-on-year. Among its two strategic export models, the decline in Trailblazer sales had a significant impact on the overall decrease.

During the same period, exports of the Trailblazer fell by 21% year-on-year to 12,595 units. Sales of the Trax Crossover, including its derivative models, increased by 6.1% year-on-year to 27,723 units, driving overall performance.

In the domestic market, Korea GM sold 1,326 vehicles in April, a 42% decrease compared to the previous year. The Chevrolet Trax Crossover led sales with 1,079 units sold. The Colorado pickup truck recorded sales of only 10 units.

Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Korea GM, said, "We are seeing steady demand in both domestic and overseas markets for the Chevrolet brand's strategic models, the Trax Crossover and the Trailblazer. As we enter May, we have prepared a variety of promotions, and we hope that customers will have meaningful experiences through the purchase of Chevrolet and GMC vehicles."
