NBT Launches User-Sharing Based Event

On May 2, NBT announced that it will launch a shared event called "Challenge! Prize King" to encourage greater user participation in its reward-based pedometer app service, "Cashslide Step Up."


The prize promotion, held in two rounds, is designed as a raffle format. By using participation links within the app service, users can voluntarily share the event with others and increase their chances of winning during the entry process.


The first round of the promotion runs until May 8 and offers LG Electronics' wireless portable screen, "StanbyMe2," as a prize through a drawing. The second round, held from May 9 to May 15, will award Outback dining gift certificates.


Participation is simple. Users generate a personal participation link on the Cashslide Step Up event page and share it with acquaintances. For every three clicks on the link, five entry tickets are awarded. These tickets can be used to enter the prize drawing. Additionally, users who use more than ten entry tickets will receive a separate chance to win a 10,000 KRW Naver Pay voucher.


The company explained that it focused on creating a participation structure that enables users to leverage their networks for broader event engagement. The goal is to increase the app service retention rate among event participants while reducing fatigue from repeated promotions.


An NBT representative stated, "Going forward, we will continue to explore various strategies for building efficient structures that allow users to connect and share benefits, beyond just discounts and point accumulation." The representative added, "While maintaining the core functions of the reward app, we will introduce promotions that offer engaging elements to users and increase both retention time and usage."
