On April 29, Lotte Tour Development announced that it will hire 400 new and experienced employees to work at the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort.
This is the largest recruitment drive since the opening of the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort in 2021. The company is hiring for most positions, including the rooms division such as front desk, concierge, room service, and spa therapist; the food and beverage division, including Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisine, pastry chef, bartender, and barista; as well as various management departments such as florist, graphic design, and security, and even casino dealers. The recruitment process consists of document screening and interviews. The company plans to give special preference to candidates with experience in the hotel and restaurant industry, as well as those who are proficient in Chinese.
A representative from Lotte Tour Development explained, "We decided to conduct large-scale hiring because the number of visitors to the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort has recently increased significantly." In fact, the number of rooms sold at Grand Hyatt Jeju within the Jeju Dream Tower last month was 41,000, a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. The overall room reservation rate also reached around 85%, up 22 percentage points from the same period last year.
Kim Jinhee, Executive Director of Human Resources at Lotte Tour Development, stated, "For this recruitment, we will not limit ourselves to candidates with hotel experience. We also recognize experience in restaurants, golf courses, and shopping malls, so we plan to hire many outstanding experienced employees." She added, "We hope that many experienced and new employees who want to advance their careers will apply, as there are opportunities to work with colleagues of various nationalities, receive language training, participate in Hyatt's global training programs, and enjoy a variety of employee benefits."
