Damyang County in South Jeolla Province announced on April 29 that it has determined and published the individual officially assessed land prices for 231,799 parcels of land within its jurisdiction, as of January 1 this year. The county will accept objections to these assessments until May 29.
The individual officially assessed land prices were determined based on the officially assessed standard land prices, reflecting the characteristics of each parcel. The assessments were verified by certified appraisers, underwent a public inspection and opinion submission process until April 9, and were finalized after deliberation by the Damyang County Real Estate Price Disclosure Committee.
The individual land prices can be checked at the Civil Affairs Division of Damyang County Office, at town and township offices, on the Real Estate Price Information website, and on the Damyang County website. Landowners or interested parties who have objections to the determined prices may file an objection by visiting the Civil Affairs Division or town and township offices, or by submitting their objection by mail.
For parcels with submitted objections, the county will re-examine the land characteristics and price balance, and the certified appraisers will conduct a detailed verification. The Damyang County Real Estate Price Disclosure Committee will then deliberate on whether to adjust the prices. The results will be individually notified by June 25.
A county official stated, "The individual officially assessed land prices serve as fundamental administrative data that have a direct impact on residents' lives, including as the basis for calculating national and local taxes and various fees." The official urged, "Please make sure to check the individual land prices within the designated period and actively exercise your right to know and your property rights."
