Siheung Bugsrium to Host "Happy Love Insects" Event for Children's Day from May 3 to 6

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will host the "Happy Love Insects" event at the Bugsrium insect experience exhibition hall for four days from May 3 to 6.

Bugsrium is an insect experience exhibition hall located in Okgu Park in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung City. The facility, which was originally a lower pressurization station supplying tap water to high-altitude areas, was remodeled and opened in 2021.

This event, organized in celebration of Children's Day, is designed for children and features special events inside the permanent exhibition hall as well as outdoor programs.

Inside the permanent exhibition hall, various events will take place, including "Heunggoni's Gift," where children can receive insects such as Dorcus hopei, Prosopocoilus inclinatus, Allomyrina dichotoma, and Protaetia brevitarsis artificially bred at Bugsrium; the "Happy Love Insects SNS Event," where participants upload photos taken at the insect experience site; and the "Insect Swimming Competition."

Outdoor programs include "Face Painting," where butterflies, bees, and ladybugs are painted on participants' faces, as well as "Balloon Art," "Calligraphy Postcard Making," and "Bubble Bubble."
