Genian Targets Middle Eastern Market with EDR Solutions

Genian, a company specializing in cybersecurity, is accelerating its efforts to enter the Middle Eastern cybersecurity market.

On April 29, Genian announced that it will participate in 'GISEC Global 2025,' the Gulf Information Security Expo, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 6 to 8.

GISEC is the leading information security exhibition in the Middle East. Last year, it attracted approximately 25,000 visitors from around 160 countries. The event is directly organized by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and is highly significant both industrially and politically.

At this exhibition, Genian will showcase three core security solutions: NAC (Network Access Control), ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), and EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response). The EDR solution, which was first introduced to Middle Eastern customers at 'GITEX' last year, secured its first customer in Saudi Arabia's public sector earlier this year.

Genian plans to use this exhibition as a starting point to further expand local partnerships and broaden its customer base. The Middle East is experiencing a surge in demand for cybersecurity due to rapid economic growth and accelerated digital transformation. There is also a high level of trust in Korean security technology. Currently, customers from the Middle East account for more than 40% of Genian's global clientele.

There is strong demand in the Middle East for building proprietary security environments. Genian's on-premises EDR solution meets these needs and is expected to serve as a strong competitive advantage in the global EDR market, which is centered on cloud solutions.

Genian will operate a joint booth with SecureLayer. The two companies are jointly conducting a government-funded project aimed at developing a managed security system tailored for the Middle East. Through the exhibition, they aim to secure new partners and customers.

Naseil, Head of Genian's Overseas Business Division, stated, "The Middle East is a market with strong demand for building proprietary security infrastructure, and Genian's on-premises EDR is a solution that meets these requirements." He added, "After securing our first global EDR customer in the Middle East earlier this year, we will further strengthen partnerships and expand our market influence through this exhibition."
