The Jeonnam branch of Nonghyup (headed by Lee Gwangil) held the inauguration and retirement ceremony for the 12th and 13th presidents of the Jeollanam-do branch of the Korea New Farmers Central Association on the 25th at the main auditorium of the Jeonnam branch, with former presidents and board members in attendance.

Kim Seongyeol, the newly appointed 13th president of the Jeonnam New Farmers Association, who is from Yongsan-myeon, Jangheung, became a member of the New Farmers Association in 2012. He received the main award in 2021 and served as the vice president of the Jeonnam New Farmers Association for the 11th and 12th terms, actively participating in the association's activities. Kang Jesuk, who led the Jeonnam New Farmers Association for the past six years as the 11th and 12th president, was elected as an auditor of the Korea New Farmers Central Association in February.

President Kim stated, "With the spirit of self-reliance, science, and cooperation that defines the New Farmers Association, I will work even harder with the approximately 1,000 members of the Jeonnam New Farmers Association to realize smart agriculture, create a sustainable rural community, and improve the quality of life for farmers." He added, "In particular, I will do my utmost to ensure that young farmers who will lead the future of agriculture can settle stably by operating youth farmer development programs."
