On the afternoon of April 28, Representative Jung posted a photo on Facebook showing an appointment letter stating, "Appointed as a special advisor for the election campaign organization of Kim Moonsoo, candidate in the 21st presidential primary."
The appointment letter bore the date April 28 and featured a large official seal next to the name of candidate Kim Moonsoo, symbolizing its formality.
Representative Jung expressed strong displeasure about receiving the appointment letter, saying, "I have no idea for what reason or by what means my contact information was obtained, but I have nothing to do for candidate Kim Moonsoo."
He went on to say, "If they are handing out appointment letters for special advisors even to lawmakers from the opposing party, I wonder how many more have been distributed," and questioned the procedural legitimacy of the situation by asking, "Did they even get permission?"
Representative Jung also sharply criticized Kim Moonsoo's camp, saying, "Before indiscriminately distributing appointment letters, manage your organization properly."
Meanwhile, on the same day, it was also reported that Hwang Youngheon, chairman of the Daegu City Committee of the Reform Party, received an appointment letter as a special advisor from candidate Kim Moonsoo.
